in memoriam

We are deeply saddened by the death of two of our friends in 2002.
May God bless them and give their families strength to pass through these tough times.

Andre Chivu

I regret to inform you all that a vibrant member of our LC community has passed on. Andre, though not an 'official' member of GCLC, was a great friend to many of us.
Those of you who've enjoyed Memorial Days at Dave's have Andre to thank. It was he who met Dave years ago at Art School, and either planted or stoked Dave's interest in all things cruisers. It was also Andre, with his love of camping, that made a tradition of heading out to Dave's at summers' start, to hardcore wheel, and hang out with friends. His loyalty, spirit, intelligence, and fire will be missed. Dearly.
He died at 35 of an undetected heart problem.
Holding back the tears, may you rest in peace dear friend.
- Victor

Mike Schroth

I was informed by Mike's wife that he passed away on December 23rd. He was hit by a car on the upper East Side where he lived on December 16th. He leaves a wife and 3 children.
He was one of the best guys I have met and would do anything for you. My heart goes out to his family.

-JH

I can't even express how sorry I am to hear about Mike. He was a wonderful man and will be greatly missed.

With these losses we are reminded of just how fragile our place is on this planet.
